With the feature documentary Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Mattisse still on my mind, I have found the motivation to finish my new diptych of waterlilies rondos. Still wet and fresh off the easel, I offered these new paintings of mine for sale at £100 each as part of the now global artist-led movement #artistsupportpledge. I can’t stop thinking of Claude Monet and all the troubles that he had to go through to get the planning permission to extend his garden, build his waterlilies pond and plant these exotic new varieties bursting with pinks, oranges and mauves.
